Thailand has many mangrove restoration projects along its coastal areas on both the the Thai Gulf and the Andaman Sea. The restoration projects are being performed by many companies on a voluntary basis and non-profit organizations to improve environmental conditions and increase biodiversity in these areas. Many of these restoration projects have environmental learning centers and elevated walkways to view the wildlife with impacting to restored area. Many of these mangrove forests are home to troops of macaque monkeys that enjoy eating crabs and insects found in the forests wildlife. I have lucky enough to visit several of these projects and I thought I would share some photos and video of the monkeys, which i always find to be interesting! Read also:
