World War 2 and the Death Railway Tour

8:00        Pick up from your hotel 

10:00     Visit the War Cemetery, There are 6,982 former POWs buried there from working on the Death Railway, mostly Australian, British and Dutch. It contains the remains of prisoners buried beside the south section of the railway from Bangkok to Nieke apart from those identified as Americans, whose remains were repatriated

11:00     Visit the River Kwai Bridge made famous by the 1957 film starring Alec Guinness, William Holden and Jack Hawkins, the bridge is one of the biggest tourist attractions in Thailand today

12.30     Have Lunch at Thai Restaurant on the Bank of River Kwai 

14:30     Visit the “Death Railway” at the Tham Krasae Railway Station 

16.00     Visit he Hellfire Pass Memorial Museum   

17.00     Leave Kanchanaburi behind us and then heading to the city of Life, Bangkok
